People working in shipping commonly have to access data about maritime operations from multiple different software applications.

Having all data together, as a unified data source, or 'data warehouse', can have benefits. In this webinar, you will look at how it can be used to add business value.

Topics we will cover include:

- Foundations of BI, including processes and terminology

- Overview of tools available to better understand fleet data such as scorecards, trend analysis, and data visualisation

- Importance of unified data sources in supporting data analysis.

- How it can drive cost and productivity benefits in shipping.

- Practical examples of how it is used in shipping.

To explain technical concepts of BI software we have Christopher Knoderer from BASSnet as well as Johanes Hapke who will provide us with practical applications of these concepts. Johanes has 10 years experience as a deck officer while Johanes has served 3 years as a ship mechanic which gives them valuable insight in marine operations and requirements.

BASSnet has been developing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software for the maritime industry for 25 years and provides a cloud-based suite for fleet management. They are experts in business intelligence and how understanding data analytics can drive fleet performance optimization.
