The MARISSA Days series will continue with the 2nd Arctic workshop “THE ARCTIC IN FOCUS – THE NEXT STEPS”, hosted by German Maritime Technologies (GMT) in cooperation with the MARISSA-Days initiative. This event will bring together practitioners and stakeholders in maritime security: representatives from coast guards, shipping companies, and service providers will share their perspectives, while technology providers present innovative solutions to protect Arctic Sea routes and infrastructures.
This builds on our first workshop in June 2025, where politics, research, and industry discussed the Arctic primarily from geopolitical and geostrategic perspectives, highlighting the complex interconnections between international law, territorial interests, and economic development.
