The ports of Bremen and Bremerhaven are making progress towards decarbonization with a GHG-neutral port management company since 2013 and a GHG-neutral port infrastructure since 2023.
Bremenports, supported by all relevant authorities, is currently exploring ways to support their customers in their efforts to decarbonize shipping by the following means:
• Enabling regional bunker suppliers considering expansion of their supply structures.
• Assisting Companies seeking to build up production capacities.
• The relevant regulatory authorities are working on regulations to facilitate practical applications, such as bunkering.
Against this background, an online survey was prepared to find out which fuels would be requested by future vessels calling the ports of Bremen and Bremerhaven or other Weser ports. The survey is still open until 30 April 2026. By evaluating the survey results, the aim is to facilitate the develop-ment of the supply structures you need, so that your support is highly appreciated.
