ColocationIX, is a high security data center in Bremen in a former nuclear shelter of the federal government. The ISO 27001-certified data center is designed according to the new data center standard EN 50600 Class 4 respectively Tier 4 and offers high-end security. The data center covers an area of 2,500 m² and offers five self-contained data centers, divided into ten security zones. Each of the data centers has a completely redundant power supply and network connection.

Global networking with premium fiber optic connection
ColocationIX is directly connected to the world's largest Internet exchanges DECIX, AMSIX and LINX as well as to China via fiber optics and at lowest latency times. The direct routes allow applications to be operated globally with high performance. In addition, a Content Delivery Network (CDN) with accelerator functions is available.
Highest physical and digital security
Even the structure of the former nuclear shelter is a statement of absolute security: universally secured by two-metre-thick reinforced concrete, security doors of the highest security class RC 6, access control by means of three-factor authentication and detector sluice, video surveillance by around 200 cameras, permanent oxygen reduction and much more. Digital security services such as Intrusion Prevention, DDoS with Remote Triggered Black Holing (RTBH) ensure the integrity of the data inside. All database clusters can be mirrored in the redundant room structure of each floor.
Maximum energy efficiency and 100% CO2 neutrality
ColocationIX has a particularly climate-friendly, energy- and cost-saving cooling system that uses geothermal energy. Thus ColocationIX is CO2-neutral with a high energy efficiency, which corresponds to an energy efficiency class better than A+. The PuE value is 1.1. The resulting cost reduction is passed on to our customers and thus represents an economical, safer and cost-effective alternative to in-house solutions.
