Five Northern German countries – one maritime cluster! The Maritime Cluster Northern Germany (MCN) promotes and develops cooperations in the Northern German maritime industry. It creates platforms so that stakeholders are able to interact with each other and it also promotes interfaces with other industries.
Germany's youngest university lies in the north-west, at the very top of the country. Currently about 7,500 young people are studying in Wilhelmshaven (4,800), Oldenburg (2,100) and Elsfleth (600). The Jade University of Applied Sciences sees itself as a modern university with a focus on maritime sciences as well as courses in engineering and business studies. Jade University offers 37 Bachelor- and 11 Master-Courses.

Jade university strives to be a research, family and eco-friendly centre of learning and research. We're also bold enough to take new directions to ensure our goals. 180 professors teach our 7,500 students, always taking a personal interest and facilitating contacts with potential employers.
