Five Northern German countries – one maritime cluster! The Maritime Cluster Northern Germany (MCN) promotes and develops cooperations in the Northern German maritime industry. It creates platforms so that stakeholders are able to interact with each other and it also promotes interfaces with other industries.
Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht is a member of the Helmholtz Association. With its Institutes of Materials and of Coastal Research it contributes to solving important questions of society, science and economy. The institute of coastal research investigates the processes at the coast and interaction with land, ocean, and humans.It is the common goal to derive scenarios for the ongoing change and perspectives for future use.
